Qualified Written Request (QWR) Sample (PDF)

Section 6 of RESPA provides borrowers with certain rights regarding the servicing of their mortgage and escrow account as well as laying out the responsibilities of the servicer. Under federal law, servicers have to acknowledge the letter within 20 working days and respond in 60. RESPA is a consumer protection statute.
